No. 86

No. 86 / Deputy Kovacs
Watercolor, image size 5.25" x 8.25" (paper size 9" x 12")

I had a very special guest visit me while painting this portrait of Deputy Kovacs from The Grand Budapest Hotel. I will reveal more soon, but I can tell you I am very excited!

One thing I can reveal to you is that April will be the month of MAGNIFIED. This topic is wide open and I am stoked for a new direction. I may even explore some new medium.

Rock your Friday friends!

No. 78

No. 78 / M. Gustave
Watercolor, Paper size 5" x 7" (less border .6")

Now, I am just having fun. I love The Grand Budapest Hotel for all its vibrant colors and quirky characters. I just couldn't help myself from indulging in some more characters. I apologize this photo is not better. I finished it last night and took the photo in unfavorable light. (A better photo will be posted to my Facebook & Blogger later today.)

Madame D

It appears I am on a roll with the movie characters this week. This is Madame D from the movie The Grand Budapest Hotel. If you're a fan of Wes Anderson films you might recognize this character from his latest work. (It's actually Tilda Swinton made up to look like an 80 year old, totally unrecognizable).
Who is your favorite film director?
