No. 134

No. 134 / Levi
Original Pan Pastel + Charcoal— Paper Size 9 x 12 in.
This is Levi. Technically, this image could be part of my guerrilla portraiture series People You Should Meet (PYSM), but it fits into the Tropical theme as well. Levi was our guide on a photo tour we did our last day in Kauai.

Levi is a brand new father, loves photography, and is a native of Kauai. He is so enamored with his daughter it's quite special. He drove us to a number of special locations for once-in-a-lifetime shots. At one point in our travels he took us to a roadside stand to try real, unadulterated coconut water out of the shell. Yum! If you are interested in his photography you can see it here: http://www.memorablekauaiphotography.com

No. 132

No. 132 / Hibiscus
Original Pan Pastel— Image Size 9 x 6 in. (paper size 12 x 9 in. )
Price: $132 plus tax and shipping ($2.30)

Today's image is of a flower that can be found everywhere on the island in Kauai. They come in all sorts of beautiful colors and line local yards and roadways . . . the Hibiscus.

Also, remember when I said I would draw one of my email subscribers each quarter? I finally completed Kat's portrait for the first quarter! I only wish I could meet this beautiful lady in person. I used a combination of watercolor and Pan Pastel.

Lastly, I threatened to share a wedding picture . . .

Evan

PYSM (People You Should Meet)

This is Evan. He is the owner of Bowser Brewing Co.
I had the chance to meet him this Thanksgiving while visiting my fiancé, Kyle, in Great Falls, MT. We stopped in there to have a beer (my faves are the Crunchberry and the Strawberry Blonde) and wound up having a little Thanksgiving meatloaf. Yeah, the food is good too.

Can I just say, again, that I love this place? Not just because of the beer, but the VIBE.

His brewery is alive with colorful paintings, board games, good music, Nintendo, friendly faces, and, of course, good beer. During a quiet spell Evan sat down with us and played Ticket to Ride. He is friendly, funny, and has put a lot of love into his business. He’s a devoted dad. He’s also an ordained minister, in case you need one.

Please stop by his brewery if you’re ever in the neighborhood. You will NOT regret it.

Check out the brewery on FB at https://www.facebook.com/bowserbrewingco
