No. 9

No. 9  Apple Huckleberry #4
Watercolor, 5” x 7” (with approximately .7” border)

This may very well be the last of the pie posts for a while. I have some new desserts coming down the line, but I still love these colors. I never did quite get over my childhood love of the color purple. Don't be surprised if you see it in future paintings.

I cannot believe we are already at day nine of 31 in my Sweet Indulgence series. This is just the beginning in my painting for the year. I'm definitely excited to see how I grow.

No. 8

No. 8  Lollipop
Watercolor, 5” x 7” (with approximately .7” border)

This project has been a real eye opener for me. Yes, it feels like a lot of work, but it is SO rewarding. I am meeting all kinds of artists, getting incredible support from my family and friends, and I'm pushing my comfort level a bit. It's rad. What is more amazing? Receiving this in an email message:

"Waiting for you to post your work every morning

is a little like Christmas."

I just want to say "thanks" to everyone who has encouraged and supported this little venture! It will be a long year, but a rewarding one.

You can snag this painting for $8 (if someone hasn't beat you to it). Wanna know how? Just jump on my email list and be the first to know the painting of the day. You can do it here: http://eepurl.com/8zjmr. You can also message me your email address and I can add you, if that is easier.

Have a great day!

No. 5

No. 5  Apple Huckleberry #2
Watercolor, 5” x 7” (with approximately .7” border)

Yep. It's another painting of Tammy's, now famous, apple huckleberry pie. I have to be honest—I love these pinks and oranges. My favorite color right now is ShinHan 324, which equates to a hot pink. It's my favorite to insert into portraits because it adds a little bit of flash (and flush).

Evan

PYSM (People You Should Meet)

This is Evan. He is the owner of Bowser Brewing Co.
I had the chance to meet him this Thanksgiving while visiting my fiancé, Kyle, in Great Falls, MT. We stopped in there to have a beer (my faves are the Crunchberry and the Strawberry Blonde) and wound up having a little Thanksgiving meatloaf. Yeah, the food is good too.

Can I just say, again, that I love this place? Not just because of the beer, but the VIBE.

His brewery is alive with colorful paintings, board games, good music, Nintendo, friendly faces, and, of course, good beer. During a quiet spell Evan sat down with us and played Ticket to Ride. He is friendly, funny, and has put a lot of love into his business. He’s a devoted dad. He’s also an ordained minister, in case you need one.

Please stop by his brewery if you’re ever in the neighborhood. You will NOT regret it.
