While at the Shaston Arms in Soho, London, I happened accidentally on a handy blotting trick for my watercolors, which I think is worth sharing. The table I was sitting at had an abundance of pub coasters. I didn’t have a napkin or paper towel with me to blot my paintbrush on, so I used a coaster. Talk about slick! It absorbed the additional water and paint perfectly. Give it a whirl. You might find it helpful too.
