No, I haven't abandoned my project. I have been working on what I would call longer term drawings. As the end of the year is getting closer I am feeling inspired to work on more challenging projects. (Crazy? Maybe.) Some of this is catch up work. Some of it is just impossible to achieve in one day. I look forward to 2016 to be able to work on bigger, better paintings. Also, with the upcoming holidays, I am sure I will have additional make-up days to come.I will give you a bit of background on today's post. I am fascinated with the process of law that is discussed in Undisclosed (and Serial) pertaining to the Adnan Syed case. I thought I would put a portrait collage together. Really, it stemmed from a call out from the Undisclosed team for t-shirt designs. I looked at it as an opportunity to practice. SO . . . I did three quick-like sketches and put them together in a larger, more detailed piece. This isn't entirely finished yet. It still needs refining. I plan to put some typography in it, which will be an additional "day" of art. In today's post I will include all the drawings for this to date.
Also, a little side —I had the chance to attend the Pocatello Art Center's Tuesday morning class yesterday and it was fantastic. Mostly, I worked on this project, but I got a chance to meet some other artists living in Pocatello. Honestly, I felt so lucky! I look forward to getting to know them better. :)
