Last weekend I took a walking tour of downtown Pocatello. Afterward I felt so enlightened; I had a better idea of what the town has to offer. I discovered a little store called Enchantments. It might best be described as a New Age gift store. I knew I wanted to go back when it was open. I did. I bought a couple items, including this turkey feather for smudging. What I found was a delightful gentleman behind the counter (Ken). He was very helpful in sharing information about meditation groups and other zen community tidbits. He also told me about the First Friday Art Walk. He said he is always looking for artists. (You might just see me on a First Friday!) More importantly, he was kind, welcoming, and informative. In this day it is a treat to connect with people. Thank you, Ken, for your friendliness. That is what makes community and good service. :) I think I am going to like this new town.
