No. 229 / Moleskine

Today's drawing is of a Swainson's Hawk. The other day I spotted a bald eagle on the river by our house, and then yesterday I spotted this guy in the park near the river. At first I didn't think it was a big deal until I saw how big he was. At first I thought he might be wounded. I had my camera with me (because I was in search of the eagle) and snapped some pics. It wasn't until later I realized he was hunting! This morning I am planning on taking the bike out and hanging out down by the river to get more exotic birds and animals. So far, the birds are probably my favorite thing about Great Falls. That and some of the nice people I have met.
