No. 30

No. 30

Really? I am at number 30? It’s hard to believe. I am sure I will feel this way at the end of every month—a kind of disbelief. What I find so interesting is my perception of how this project would go down, and how it is actually turning out.
Originally, my monthly themes were a parameter for me to keep things fresh and focused. I thought I'd paint sweets with fun textures and colors. What I’m finding is that I feel like a sort of “guerrilla painter,” a sort of reporter . . . of the visual kind.  I get to tell a story about the places I visit and the people I meet along the way. I also get to connect with all of you. I really love that!

This week I had the opportunity to talk with, and meet, Angel. She’s the owner of Guru Donuts. (Can you say COOL?!) I have been invited to attend and show my donut paintings at their grand opening with Boise Fry Company. I am totally stoked! I hope, if you are in Boise and available, you will join the festivities next Thursday, February 5, 2015, from 6-10 pm at 204 N. Capitol Blvd (look for the large pink donut sign). It will be a lot of fun (and the donuts are SO good).

Here is a link to the Facebook event.

Thank you for visiting!

Paige
