Cake balls—not quite as elegant as a cupcake, but portable. As I venture to find new and different desserts I thought these little gems deserved a place in the spotlight. I have been playing with including new props too. As you may have read in a previous post, I have some lovely antiques of my mother's and I've enjoyed using them to make more interesting still-life set ups. As a rule, I paint portraits and NOT still-lifes, but I am learning a lot about composition. I recommend it to anyone who wants to take their art to a new level.
