No. 16 / The Barista
Watercolor, 7” x 5” (with approximately .7” border)

  

Today's painting was an exercise in loosening up. I have a tendency to paint pretty tight. I always aspire for loose, flowing dollops of color, but then can't resist the details. The one thing that excites me about this project is the opportunity for improvement and artistic growth. 

I also found a group on Facebook (how is it I never knew about the awesome art groups there) called Watercolor Addicts. The artists in this group are incredible and very inspiring! I highly recommend joining or shadowing a group.
