This is one of my former PYSM, Kristi, who this time I painted. Hopefully she doesn't mind being my subject again. I have enjoyed the process of working in both pencil and paint, and seeing how the two differ. Here's to hoping your Wednesday evening is shaping up nicely.
PYSM (People You Should Meet)
This is Kristi. She is the owner of Red Betty’s Hair House. She is a smart cookie that I have found to be authentic, honest, kind, and a bit of an old soul. She’s easy to relate to, which is a great quality in someone you spend two hours with getting your hair done. She’s a small business owner rocking it with her own unique brand, which I’ve yet to see anywhere else. Her shop is part tattoo parlor, part blast-from-the-past retro neighborhood hair house. When entering the shop you will probably encounter some laughter, funky music playing in the background (think 90s), and a feeling of catching up with “the girls.” Visiting Red Betty’s is definitely a treat.
So, if you’re in the neighborhood stop in and say hello. Heck, have her cut your hair! I promise you won’t regret it.
