Usually, if I am stuck in an airport, or waiting for
someone, I look at it as an opportunity to whip out my sketchbook. This week I
was traveling and needed a little mental “down time” in a frustrating United
Air debacle. (I know, surprising, right?)
I only had pencils with me and thought it would be a good starter to a
future painting.

PYSM (People You Should Meet)
This is Kristi. She is the owner of Red Betty’s Hair House. She is a smart cookie that I have found to be authentic, honest, kind, and a bit of an old soul. She’s easy to relate to, which is a great quality in someone you spend two hours with getting your hair done. She’s a small business owner rocking it with her own unique brand, which I’ve yet to see anywhere else. Her shop is part tattoo parlor, part blast-from-the-past retro neighborhood hair house. When entering the shop you will probably encounter some laughter, funky music playing in the background (think 90s), and a feeling of catching up with “the girls.” Visiting Red Betty’s is definitely a treat.

So, if you’re in the neighborhood, stop in and say hello.
Heck, have her cut your hair! I promise you won’t regret it.
