The Carousel Horse

Sometimes I have artist's block. You know the problem, it's a lot like writer's block . . . with pictures. I also procrastinate. In my "artist's block" I will work on other projects in order to gain courage, or clarity, for the job I really need to be working on. That is where my carousel horse comes in this week. It is my block buster.

I am procrastinating working on a house portrait (which I began painting this weekend) and on getting my mother's headstone. Both have been difficult to complete. Maybe, because in a weird way, they are tied together. Funny how the brain works. The good news? It will all get done!

This carousel horse will become a finished painting, but begged to bloom into a coloring page! Stay tuned for the actual painting in the next weeks. When we traveled to Seaside, Or., we got to hang out in the mall with the indoor carousel. There is something so magical about those colorful, musical wheels. Feel free to download and share with your kids and friends.
