Keith

PYSM (People You Should Meet)

*Keith

While we waited for the Max (train) in Vancouver, Keith whisked under the awning with a lime green umbrella in hand, his white hair blowing in the windy rain, and a smile perched on his face. Instantly I knew he was a person I wanted to capture for my PYSM. He was friendly from the get-go and talked to us while we waited. He carried a handsome leather satchel, along with a backpack, looking the part of both student and professor. It was Saturday and he was headed to the college to do some work. He calls himself a student of Embedded Systems Engineering, among other things. (I think this is code for smarty pants.) After getting off the train he walked with us for a few blocks, directing us to the Art Museum, before parting ways. It really made my day to meet such a friendly face my first day in a big city

Thanks for letting me capture your likeness for my series, Keith!

*I have to say, this is the first stranger I have approached to paint their portrait. It was THRILLING, to say the very least!! I hope to meet more interesting people in this fashion. :)
