No. 267

No 267 / f - Northern Flicker

In our home we have a cat perch by our big windows. This cuts down on a lot of kitty drama. One day, while downstairs, I heard a distinct chirping out one of the windows. Harlow was intently eyeballing this noisy bird. Upon inspection, I discovered an unusual looking bird I hadn't seen in our yard before—right below the window. Research has led me to believe it is a Norther Flicker woodpecker. They hang out on the ground and eat ants and beetles. So, as I always tell my husband, look up (and now down). You never know what you will see!
